                                                     WHAT WE BELIEVE

1. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God: We believe that the Bible is the ultimate authority for our faith and practice. It is without error and is the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1: 21).

2. The Trinity: We believe in one God who exists in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God and yet distinct from one another.

3. Salvation by grace through faith: We believe that salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned or deserved. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, that we can be saved.

4. Baptism by immersion: We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism by immersion symbolizes the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

5. The priesthood of all believers: We believe that all believers have direct access to God through Jesus Christ and are called to serve Him in ministry. Every member of the church is gifted by the Holy Spirit for the building up of the body of Christ.

6. The autonomy of the local church: We believe that each local church is autonomous and self-governing, with Christ as its head. While we may partner with other churches and organizations for ministry, we maintain our independence in decision-making and governance.

7. The return of Christ: We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, when He will judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal kingdom. We eagerly await His return and seek to live in readiness for His coming.

8. We believe marriage was created by God for the good of mankind, the propagation of the human race, and the expression of His image on earth. Furthermore, we believe that the union of a man and a woman in marriage depicts the spiritual relationship between Christ and His Bride—the Church. Marriage is a union into which one man and one woman may enter for the glory of God and is only broken, according to the scriptural ideal, by death. This understanding of marriage is revealed in Holy Scripture as God's intention for marriage, the truth of which is clearly affirmed by our Lord Jesus Christ in the Gospels. As such, this biblical definition of marriage may not be amended, reinterpreted or redefined by society or the governments of men. (Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:18-25, Matthew 19:4-6, Matthew 19:8-12, Mark 10:4-9, Romans 7:2)
